The University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign seeks a Capital Planning Specialist.


Duties:


The Capital Planning Specialist, Project Planning has primary responsibility for project planning at all levels from project definition through design and assists in the evaluation and establishment of campus standards for project definition, planning, design and methods of project delivery. Responsibilities also include: assisting the Client (Colleges, Departments, etc.) in determining the needs for new projects or renovations; coordinate and determine the scope and feasibility of projects; develop program statements for each project based on client and campus needs; coordinate and determine feasibility or conceptualization of such projects; determine, compile and reconcile project budgets with input from all pertinent parties for such projects; assist in the preparation of the scope of professional services required for each project; participate in the process for the selection of professional services consultants; attend all planning meetings as the campus representative on assigned projects through Design Development; develop periodic status reports for assigned projects; provide architectural design assistance and interpretation to the clients; provide assistance for clients with University's Real Estate & Space Department; provide assistance to clients with temporary or permanent relocations; provide expertise in classroom modernizations & enhancements; and act as consultant for client requested change orders and professional services consultant amendments during design and construction. The Capital Planning Specialist, Project Planning will also be responsible for project conceptualization phase services and feasibility studies developed by professional services consultants.


Requirements:


Requires a Masters in Community Planning or related with Environmental Planning specialty. Two (2) years of experience in project administration which include facility planning with problem and conflict resolution.


This is a full-time, benefits eligible Academic Professional position.
Salary: $66,200.00 per year.
