About Capital Programs
The Capital Programs Division directs the programming, design, and construction of large capital projects over $250,000 on the University of Illinois Urbana Champaign campus. This includes development of project scopes, budgets, and schedules and procurement of all construction related services for new buildings, additions/modifications to existing buildings, and associated backbone infrastructure in support of the mission of the University.
The Division consists of three departments:
Capital Project Planning
Capital Project Management
Deferred Maintenance and Classroom Improvement Programs
The Project Planning and Project Management Departments work with campus customers to develop solutions for their facilities that meet their programmatic needs, secure appropriate campus and University approvals, employ all professional service consultants for design of projects and contractors for construction, oversee project execution and manage the overall Capital Project Delivery Process
. The Deferred Maintenance Program Department oversee management of deferred maintenance and classroom improvements, prioritizing backlogged deficiencies and assist with preparing the Campus’ State Capital Budget request that serves to address similar priorities for new facilities and programmatic renovations.
In addition, we assess requests for new space, maintain records of space assignments to units, and support the Office of the Provost with lease space decisions. Start a project or need a feasibility study. PDF
